Professional Learning, Student Workshops & SNPSD Ensembles
Our professional learning activities have returned in 2024
A free Primary Teachers' Choreographic Workshop took place at Lindfield Learning Village on Wednesday 21st February. Thanks to our presenters and attendees - a great, enjoyable and productive day was had by all.

SNPSD ENSEMBLES AT THE FESTIVAL.
The SNPSD Junior Ensemble (Years 4 to 6) under the direction of teacher/choreographer, Chloe Woodward at NBSC Manly Selective campus, Nth Curl Curl prepared and performed a beautiful Festival work to Billy Joel's classic, Vienna. It expressed the savouring of youth, those meaningful things around it and not growing up too fast.
The SNPSD Senior Ensemble (Years 7 to 12) choregraphed by Ex-members Ashleigh Veitch, Hana Greuter and retired teacher Kim Peade prepared their work, The Letter for the Festival on 4 selected Sunday afternoon/evenings. It represented the hardships, resilience and emotions expressed in the text of the first known letter written by a female convict of the First Fleet.

The Choreographic Journey
The choreographic process is exciting, daunting, challenging and often uncertain and experimental. But most of all, it is rewarding - to start with an idea and a group of willing students and see it through to its realisation on stage represents the best ideals and outcomes of teaching and learning.
